A Restaurant that Will Not Serve You Water?
Could there actually be such a restaurant in the Denver area?
Yes, there is.
Our brave reporters uncovered such a 'place' a few days ago while searching for somewhere to eat on afternoon.
The restaurant serves "Chinese" food. It is one of Denver's 'scoop' restaurants, a place where food sets out all day, uncovered, and is served to mostly blue or pink color diners.
At the time we visited this establishment, the cashier showed her inability to count back change. We ordered a portion of hot oil after ordering our main meal, and they attempted to do the math in their head, subtracting the cost of the hot oil ($0.25) from the change coming back from the meal ($0.07). You would think that someone working the counter of a restaurant who was less than 25 years old would know how to count. For crying out loud, this person should still be in community college, the university, or should be a recent high school graduate.
After eating my meal we requested a glass of water. The server, who is obviously pregnant, pointed to the nearby cooler holding bottled soft drinks.
At one time this restaurant did serve water. Now it charges.
Needless to say, no one should eat here. Water is a minimum cost that a restaurant should provide its customers.
The Blog that Tells the Truth about Restaurants
There are reviews on Yelp and Google and Yahoo and other sites.
But there is nothing like creating a blog to expose bad restaurants.
That's why we are here.
